Beyonce Knowles started her musical career at the age of 7. She was influenced by The Supremes, Jackson 5. She with her group started out small until their break with Star Search. They popularized Hip Hop/ R&B music during the 90's. Destiny's Child started doing bigger gigs and were the opening act for other groups like SWV, Dru Hill and Immature. A self titled album was released in 1998 and Beyonce was the undisputable lead singer.
It was Beyonce as a singer who churned out lyrics for hit songs, NO, NO, NO, BILLS, BILLS, BILLs and many of their other top 10 hits.
Austin Power’s ‘In Goldmember’ was Beyonce’s first big film break while ‘Survivor’ with Destiny's Child had cemented her to superstardom.
The first single, "Crazy In Love," featuring Jay-Z, was co-produced by Beyonce and Rich Harrison. Jay-Z returns the favor for Beyonce's part on his hit "Bonnie and Clyde 03." Laced with an Arabic ambience, fused with a ghetto edge and encompassing a sample from Donna Summer's "Love to Love You Baby," "Naughty Girl" is party perfect. "Baby Boy," is another of her hits laced with Arabic flavour. She co-stars with Cuba Gooding Jr. in "The Fighting Temptations."
